Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She competes currently within the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC fellow fighter is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko, a Muay Thai boxer started her fight sports career at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia launched her professional career at the age of 23 in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous titles including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was achieved by an unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko began the professional phase of her MMA career in 2002 with a win over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO, and then won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing, and took a long break from MMA. She returned in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimous decision and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. After this win, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from this defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was 1-2 over the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
